ABOUT US

"Memories in my Living room" is a young initiative for those of us who wish to mark, remember and share the holocaust in a personal, intimate and unique way. This intimate way of gathering will give you the opportunity to hear in person the living testimony of a holocaust surviver in the privacy of your home with your close friends and take an active part in a live discussion of your thoughts.

"Memories in my Living room" initiated three years ago by Adi Altshuler whom on holocaust memorial eve felt the gap between the need to mark this historical disaster and her mundane routine that day . It was a song on the radio of Yehuda Poliker that triggered her to realize she forgot the date and razed the necessity of a different way to mark and remember the unimaginable personal experiences of the survivors, other than the official memorial service.

The first gathering was hosted by Adi and her spouse in their own house in Hod Hasharon and since has been done in many other homes. the original guests in this gathering became the founders of this unique holocaust remembering event.

"Memories in my Living room" grew out of the importance in learning and remembering the historical events and the significant lessons that come from it, and for the little time we still have to hear in person the living testimony of the survivors who persevered and lived to tell their story.

We invite you to take part in this gathering by hosting an event for your friends on this coming holocaust Memorial Day. We will be happy to help you plan and create this gathering.
